I must say, when it comes to beauty products I get picky, or let's say, I like to be aware of the ingredients of the products I use or eat. A lot of cosmetic brands contain harsh ingredients and they also test on animals, which for me is a no-no. For a list of cruelty free brands check out this blog post. Here are my picks of the products I recommend...
The one I have been eying for quite a while now is Alicia Silverstone for Juice Beauty, The Organic Solution. Her line of cosmetics is vegan (no animal ingredients, no animal testing), certified with organic ingredients, and also eco-friendly packaging that comes from recycled materials!! All these goodies in just one product!! Wowie!! Her line includes the cleanser, moiturizer, lip color, facial highlighter, and pressed powder. Planning to buy a few of her cosmetics some time soon. Alicia Silverstone is the author of The Kind Diet which thanks to her book it made it so easy for me to transition to a vegan diet. ♥
Next on my eyes is the Sprout Skincare. Sprout dedicates to add only natural ingredients to their products. This is one of those brands that really has "all natural" ingredients not unlike those brands who claim this line even when it has nasty ingredients, with gross chemicals. Sprout has ingredients that are so basic that the list of ingredients is so short, usually only with four main ingredients. It's similar to DIY beauty recipes but if you don't have the time to create them and rather buy them, this is for you!! If you use the discount code “BLOGFRIEND” at Vegan Cuts you’ll save an additional 10% off your order, expires Oct 31.
Last on my eye, that I even decided to buy is the Giovanni D:tox System for the face. With exotic ingredients including: activated charcoal, volcanic ash, and with super antioxidants adding goji berry, and acai. I love eating goji berry and acai, and thought how cool to use a product that has these same ingredients. The volcanic ash helps to cleanse the skin from bacteria and toxins that can get trapped in your pores, and "the antioxidant process is similar to stopping an apple from browning" reads the description of this product that is very beneficial for anti-aging. I decided to buy the travel facial kit from Amazon to try it out. You can also find the D:tox system at Target. So far I have been loving it!! From the fancy looking packaging, to the aromatic scent, and the black color cleanser. This line includes the cleanser, scrub, moisturizer, and the mask. I'm also considering buying the D:tox for the body. I might do a review on the whole line later on.
