Cruelty-Free Makeup For Spring or Summer

Spring in Miami has the weather going CRAZY. Some days will be so hot, and some days it's perfect temperature that I wish it would stay like that all year long.

In the mornings I like turning off the AC, and open the windows just to hear the birds chirping. It puts me in such a good mood to hear birdies, and start my day in a positive way.

The other day my sister came down to visit us from Washington DC, and we had a delicious vegan barbecue. We had grilled tofu with onion, some zucchini, and vegan hot dogs!! Then we had a good time at the pool.

In spring and summer I try to keep my makeup simple, but put together at the same time. I want to feel like I'm ready for the day, without having too much going on....

PREP SKIN
To get my skin clean, I love using organic rose water with a round cotton. Then I apply Jojoba oil to hydrate my skin. Whatever I have leftover from the oil I apply it to my arms, and legs. And a little bit to my lips. Then I continue with a base, and the one that I have is Bobbi Brown face base. It leaves the skin so soft, and ready for makeup application.

MAKEUP
My favorite foundation at the moment is 100% Pure 2nd skin foundation. It is so lightweight, and so natural. This is truly my favorite makeup brand. I apply it all over my face, and if I want extra coverage I apply a second layer. To set my foundation, I use Milani Powder Foundation in Fresco shade. After face powder, I apply concealer, I have Pure Nude concealer. I apply it over powder to make it last longer.

For a bit of color, on my cheeks I apply 100% Pure blush in Peppermint Candy.

LIPS
Continuing to lips, as a lip balm I use Coconut lip balm. As a bronzy color I apply Lush Latté, but they don't make it anymore :( Then on top I apply E.l.f. lipstick in Party Pink.

EYES
For my eyes I like using the Naked Basics palette. It's so small but it has the necessary natural shades. For my everyday makeup I either use the shade W.O.S. or Naked 2. For this look I went with Naked 2 which is like a beige, and brown tone. As an eyeliner I like E.l.f. eyeliner. Then I like doing my tight line, and for this I'll be using Natural Kajal eyeliner in black.

Before I continue with me eyes, I like doing my eyebrows. I have an Eyebrow Kit and I use it along with an eyebrow stencil to achieve the shape that I want.

To finish my eyes I apply two coats of Pacifica mascara in Stardust which is a brown shade.

FINAL TOUCH
As a final touch I can't leave without my natural perfume oil. I really love Kuumba Made in Wind Dancer. It's a soft floral scent, perfect for everyday. Something I forgot to record in the video is that to maintain my makeup in place I spritz the same rose water I mentioned before, or I use e.l.f. Makeup Mist and Set.

That's all for my everyday makeup in spring. I love using makeup products that are cruelty-free. It makes me feel so good!

What are some of your favorite makeup products or brands?

Thanks, and until next time :))

  4. I'm so terrible with my make up routine... It usually includes putting on drug store make up in the car and washing my face in the shower. I need to try your tips and pamper myself!

  9. I've heard so many positive things about Naked but I just haven't gotten around to using it. I think Radha Beauty is also a cruelty-free beauty line.
