Today was an awesome day! George, Little Lyn, and I headed to Museum Park to visit the Sea Shepherd ship that will be here in Miami for just a couple of days before they head out to sail to South America. We got a ship tour with Jazmine, and she was the best! She had a really upbeat personality, and she’s from Australia. We got to see how they live, where they sleep, eat, kitchen, and more. It was really fun, and we got to ask her questions. She briefly mentioned Rob Stewart, and how the crew was going to be able to meet him in the upcoming campaigns to save marine life. The three of us enjoyed the tour so much!
After the Sea Shepherd ship tour, we headed to Bunnie Cakes for a ‘Cuban’ sandwich. They use vegan Daiya cheese, and Tofurky ham to make it. It’s so delicious, and literally tastes like the real thing. I even got a cheese ball, really good too.
Then we headed to Miami Seaquarium to attend the Lolita protest. There’s always a group of activists that gather every Saturday between noon and 2 pm to help Lolita gain her freedom once again. I learned from them that Lolita’s family is still alive waiting for her. The big protest for Lolita is coming up on April 1st, and it’s called the Miami Miracle March for Lolita. If you can attend that would be great, and I will try going too!
It was a wonderful day, and it’s always great to meet like-minded people that support the welfare of animals. Until next time!
