Bangs Haircut / Corte de Flequillo

Read in English      Leer en Español

I’m the type of person that likes learning how to do beauty things from home. Whether it’s cutting my hair, or coloring my hair. The benefit I see is that you end up saving money and time.

I honestly don’t like going to hair salon or go see a doctor because of the waiting time. I get desperate and I don’t like to waste time.

Here I show you three ways you can cut your own bangs from home. It’s easy, and it can be fun too! Just pretend you have a hair salon at home :))

3 ways to cut your own bangs….
Before I cut my hair I make sure my hair is clean. Before I cut my bangs I took a shower, and I applied a bit of Shea Moisture hair milk to make my hair soft, and give it a healthy shine. I begin to part my hair in the middle, and bring forward a small section of hair towards my face….

Method 1 – The traditional way
This is the most common way everyone knows about. Grab a small section of hair, and using your fingers as guidance, cut away. Make sure to cut hair below fingers.

Method 2 – Use a hair elastic
This is another common way if you’re a newbie, and want to have a precision cut. To cut your bangs, tie the small section of hair with a hair elastic. Pull it down towards the desired length, and cut.

Method  3 – The hair clip ruler: CreaClip Review & Demo
This is new to me, and when I saw it I went on Amazon and bought it. I call it the hair ruler for bangs, but the actual name is CreaClip. It’s a small blue ruler with a level, and it comes with a scissor as a set. The CreaClip has bristles to avoid any knots as you slide it down, and on one end has a clip to secure the hair. Place your hair in the middle, clip it, and slide it down. I like that it holds the hair tightly, and notice the level. The level serves as a guidance to make sure the CreaClip is straight. You can also turn the level for side bangs, so it’s multi use. I compared the CreaClip scissors with my Tweezerman Stainless hair scissors and it’s actually good quality. It gave me a clean cut, and it’s a scissor I would use again. Only downside I see to the CreaClip is that if you’re cutting behind the level for side bangs, it can get on the way and can be a little bit tricky to cut.

To finish my side bangs I use my scissors with teeth which is for shinning to clean the ends.

Last I use a 3′ ceramic hair brush, and I use my Elchim white blow dryer to style my new side bangs.

Now my side bangs are ready, and I like how quick I can style them for an easy and get ready fast daily routine.

Have you cut your own bangs before? I would love to know if you have used the CreaClip yet. Let me know in the comments!

Me desespero y no me gusta perder tiempo.

¿Has cortado tu propio flequillo antes? Me encantaría saber si ya has usado el CreaClip. ¡Házmelo saber en los comentarios!

I never thought someone could cut their own hair! I mean the thought also sends shivers – what if I cut it the wrong length or uneven. But you really did a great job and explain how to do it clearly.

These are great tips! I've thought of cutting my bangs but always felt like the need to get them cut frequently would be a pain. Now I'm reconsidering!

I lovee bangs. I have cut my bangs myself, and once out of thrice they have turned out horribly. But again I can't hit the saloon weekly to have my bangs done, can I? But this post is making me reconsider.

You really suit bangs! I would just advise people who aren't that confident in cutting their hair to slowly cut the length. It's amazing the amount of people who come into salons regretting diy hair cuts but it's also surprising how many people do a fantastic job!
