Today I want to share my favorite eco-friendly items that I like to use around at home. These are not only great to get yourself, but also great gift ideas! And not only they’re cute, but you’re also benefiting the Mother Earth. She will give you a BIG thank you! These are fun to have because they have a nice look and design to them, and they also add earth elements to your home for a cozy feel. I love it too because they look modern and chic and at the same time you’re not adding your carbon footprint. So let’s get started with this eco-friendly gift guide that can be used for the holidays or as a birthday gift…..

This post is all about eco-friendly products.

StrawsStainless steel / Bamboo / Glass

These have been a money saver for me! I currently have glass and stainless steel straws! I love the fact that they are a one time investment and never have to worry about buying straws ever again, except for the glass straws. Eco-friendly straws go great with mason jars. They look so elegant in a simple glass of water and they look great if you’re into taking photos and sharing them on Instagram like I did here in a smoothie photo.

Here I’m using a glass straw in one of my smoothie photos:

UtensilsStainless steel / Bamboo

These are great for on the go. When I used to have an office job I liked taking my lunch and having bamboo utensils handy. They look so different from regular plastic ones and somehow they make food taste so much better. The bamboo utensils is not dishwasher safe, you can only hand wash them. And this particular set from the reviews I read the knife is pretty sharp too! I really enjoyed having these with me all the time. Nowadays there’s also stainless steel utensils which I haven’t used before but I think they’re also a great alternative.

Bamboo ToothbrushesCharcoal / Engraved / Kids

To me eco-friendly toothbrushes are the best! Not only they are made with BPA free bristles but they also come in biodegradable packaging. All the goodness in one packaging. There are a variety of brands out there, even a toothbrush with soft bristles for kids by the brand WooBamboo. I have been using the eco-friendly brand Izola because their toothbrushes come in four designs. In months,  reflections, numerals, and guest. The months come with the first three letters of each month in three month intervals. The months is my favorite one because it serves as a reminder to know when to switch out your toothbrush since you’re suppose to switch out your toothbrush every three months. I have been using them for about three years now and I really love them. I like using them along with my favorite Peppermint fluoride free toothpaste by Tom’s of Maine or Baking Powder Toothpowder in Mint by Eco Dent. I like the look of these toothbrushes, they look very natural, and at the same time you’re helping the planet by not buying the cheap plastic brushes.

Reusable water bottleBobble Water Bottle / Motivational

There are plenty of reusable water bottles available in the market but the cool thing about the Bottle Water Bottle is that it comes with a filter integrated so with each drink you can be sure you are having a fresh sip of water. The design to it is so cool and you can fit 18.5 or 34 ounce of water in it. It has a charcoal filter and it’s BPA free. For me I bought the pink bobble water bottle for a girly look.

Reusable bags100% Cotton toteProduce bags / Seal reusable bags

The reusable tote bag is great as a reusable shopping bag. They are great to take with you to the supermarket or to the mall. I like the natural color to it and how simple they look. The brand  Kangaroo’s totes comes in two different sizes, 8×8″ or 13×13″. There’s also the reusable produce bags that I have bought before and I love taking with me to the produce section of my local supermarket. I like how they come five with different color tags and the material is strong yet lightweight at the same time. They can be used to store accessories, cosmetics, travel items, or shoes. And the last type of bags I wanted to talk about are the seal reusable bags. These eco-friendly bags are leak proof, freezer safe, and you can only hand wash them. They’re a bit pricey but I’m really considering getting one of these sets to save money in the long run.

That’s all for my 5 eco-friendly gift ideas. I’m considering making a second part to this some time soon. Let me know if you have enjoyed this section on my blog.

Do you have any of these? Would you consider buying any of these items? Let me know! Thanks for reading and until next time!

These re awesome gift ideas! I love the reusable bags. Here in Japan, they charge you for shopping bags at the grocery store so we've definitely learned to value reusable ones.
