Happy May! Can you believe it’s May already? How are your goals going? I am excited to share my April favorites because there are a quite few things I want to share with you today.
I recently bought You Goal, Girl: A Goal-Setting Workbook because it was recommended when I attended the South Florida Bloggers event here in Miami. It’s a useful book to keep track of your goals, and it keeps you accountable.
We are also planning our June trip just after Lyn finishes seventh grade and we are so excited! We haven’t been on a plane since 2018, and I can’t believe the school year it’s almost over, AGAIN!
April was bittersweet because it was a month since Kandy’s passing.
This post is all about April favorites.
Best April Favorites
1. CRUELTY FREE SKIN CARE
Let’s start off with beauty because I have been enjoying quite a few things. As usual, everything you see here is cruelty-free and vegan products! I also share how I have been getting stronger nails!
The beauty vitamins I have been taking are by Hello Bello. I came across this brand by accident one day when I was browsing the aisles of the Miami Beach Navarro. The bottle design caught my attention and decided to buy them. I’ve seen the difference in my stronger nails, and my hair grows fast! I take the Organic Women’s Multivitamins and the Hair, Skin + Nails; which taste so good but unfortunately the new formula is no longer vegan 🙁
Another thing that has contributed to me getting stronger nails is not using press-on nails. As much as I like them I am giving my nails a break. When I apply them I always make sure to apply a thin coat of transparent nail polish so the sticker nails are not directly on my nails; that’s a TIP I share with you :))
This brand sent me three separate PR boxes! I like how cute their packaging is because they add fruit images to the boxes, and each skincare product matches the color of the fruit. I love skincare brands that make their products with fruit, which is similar to the brand 100% Pure.
These are my go-to face mists! I like them because they are made with natural ingredients, and it’s so refreshing to spray them on your face after showering, in the morning to get ready, or in the afternoon to refresh your face. Alteya rose water is made with Bulgarian roses, Mario Badescu facial spray has aloe, herbs, and rosewater, and OSEA sea minerals mist is made with seaweed. Such good natural ingredients!
2. AMAZON FASHION
We headed to Berry Farms where they have beautiful sunflowers, and you get to pick your own strawberries and tomatoes! This is a beautiful place to go with the whole family on a weekend. Although tickets are cheaper on weekdays, I recommend you go early in the morning as soon as they open to avoid the Miami heat!
These are a few similar yellow headbands available on Amazon.
Yellow & White Outfit
I have been loving the combination of yellow and white this season! I found this cute jumper at Ross but found other cute pieces on Amazon.
WHITE LACE SHOES
Black Floral Lace Top
I paired this black top with floral lace with Forever 21 faux leather leggings. I also wore black combat boots. These photos were also taken at Berry Farms!
FLORAL LACE TOPS
I found a few similar tops on Amazon.
These are the exact same boots I have, and they are so comfortable! I have the black pair but they are also available in Brown.
3. POEM BOOKS
Did you know April was poetry month? I didn’t, and so I got informed through the Miami Dade Library newsletter. I got the following poem books based on their recommendations. If you follow me on Instagram you have seen on my stories the pages of these books 🙂
My thoughts are clouds – This book is full of color and cartoons, great for kids! A good book that mentions breathing and mediation. Little Lyn loved it!
When the stars wrote back – This has a major warning at the beginning of the book as it has various poems about suicide, body image, death, drugs, and more sensitive topics. Purple is the only color you will see throughout the graphics.
The sun and her flowers – This poem book also mentions sensitive topics. It has black ink drawings throughout its pages.
4. MAY SALES
The following summer sales are available until the end of May. Click on each image to shop the pieces from the image.
Athleta is having a summer-ready sale with 20% off with the purchase of $150 or more with the code MAYATHLETA. They have the cutest tops, and fitness sets to get in shape this summer!
Revolve is also having a summer sale with up to 65% off, and take an additional 20% off select sale items. They have the cutest crop top pieces!
Thank you for being here, and until next month for more cruelty-free favorites! Enjoy May :))
